Day three of PFP began with Mark's safety meeting and insightful words of encouragement!
Thus far, most of us have already logged 175 miles, and have another 100 miles ahead of us as we started our day.
Todays ride will take us on the outskirts of Statesboro and Brooklet, through Pooler and Savannah!
We roll out to explore the beautiful countryside of southeast Georgia!
The incredible Group B ladies!
And a pic of the entire Group B! I have to add, we were the A group at times during the ride. But, in the end, the speedsters pulled through and arrived at the last rest stop first. :)
Group B with one extra rider. Elwin joined the fun group for the final leg of the ride!
Here are just a few of my favorite sites on today's ride. It was near and dear to my heart to ride through Bullock County, home of my alma matter, the fabulous GA Southern Eagles!
A beautiful pecan grove.
This was as close to GA Southern as we rode today. GOOOOO EAGLES!!!!
(Fun fact, GA Southern beat the FL Gators 26-20 last November!) GOOOOO EAGLES!!!!
Another us-y! Just goofing off waiting for the rest of the Pedaling for Pets riders before we get escorted into Savannah.
All smiles as we roll in for a short rest break before we tackle the last 10 miles!
Our escorted ride into Savannah was lots of fun. We rode past the train museam and several town squares where we were greeted like superstars!
Our final destination, Savannah, GA!!! 275 miles of bike riding with so many incredible athletes and new friends!!
